Scotland's Gaelic Marketplace

The week started off on a high. Receiving recognition, on Monday, of the work that’s been put in to developing Social Media Alba ® (Glasgow) from the City of Glasgow was amazing, and so too was the overall presence of Gaelic at the JBG Enterprise Awards event in the City Chambers. This has shown me a bit of the local government ambition and regard towards Gaelic and together with my experience at Holyrood a couple of weeks ago, this should help me to determine the overall picture of support for Glasgow’s Gaelic marketplace. The low of the day came when my guest could not make it along to share in the day and network but now understanding I’m hoping for some positive news this coming week off the back of the last minute decision not to go along.
