Fhuair sinn teachdaireachd bho Riaghaltas na h-Alba an-diugh airson a h-uile duine an sàs ann an Là Twitter le faclan bho Alasdair Allan, Ministear airson Cànain na h-Alba. Seo dè thuirt e:

We received a message for everyone who got involved at all levels from the Scottish Government today with a comment about Gaelic Twitter Day from the Minister for Scotland’s Languages, Alasdair Allan:

“The fact that the #Gàidhlig [hashtag] reached more than 1.5 million people and was embraced from New Lanark to Nova Scotia clearly shows that the Gaelic language is an important part of many people’s everyday lives. There is great passion from speakers brought up with Gaelic and those at all stages of learning the language and Twitter focused their energy for one day of celebration. I would like to commend everyone involved in organising the day for surpassing their targets so spectacularly, thank everyone that took part and look forward to next year’s event.”
